Kyoto - JR Kyoto Station

The JR Kyoto Station was quite interesting. It had a lot of shopping, restaurants, and so on. It also was a meeting and public gathering place for many people. It also has some sections that are nice promenades as well as parks. There are also offices and hotels. After long days of walking, hiking, and sightseeing we really enjoyed exploring the station.

The stairs in the background have a light display and do color displays as well as some animations.

We climbed these stairs a lot, primarily to just have excessive stair counts on our Fitbits.

Stairs with lights are mesmerizing.

It was overcast and drizzling and then raining when we first started taking pictures. We then found dinner and desert and took more pictures in the dark.

We also used this as an opportunity to mess with amount of light exposure.

I took a lot of pictures of the station because it is one of my favorite modern public spaces we visited.
