Rensselaer, NY - Rensselaer Rail Station

The stop at Rensselaer Rail Station is a relatively long stopover. The Lake Shore Limited train is split between part going to New York, NY and Boston, MA here.

Syracuse, NY - William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center

From Chicago, IL we took the Lake Shore Limited to Boston, MA. The William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center was one of the stations where one can get out and walk, though not for a particularly long time.

Upper Brookville, NY - Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park

During the weekend following my Bubbe's (Yiddish word for grandmother) funeral most of the family that was gathered (and not observing the Sabbath) went to the Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park. Holly walked around with the camera and practiced her photography.
I find it good to have my spouse interested in my more expensive hobbies, such as photography, so that I can more easily justify future purposes.

Rensselaer, NY – Rensselaer Rail Station

The first stop where we got to get off the train and take a walk around was at Rensselaer, NY. We walked around the Rensselaer Rail Station for 40 or so minutes while waiting to meet the half of the Lake Shore Limited coming from the New York, NY.
We walked around and took pictures of the platform, station, and some of the area around the station.
