We took a whale watching trip with Whale Safari out into the Reykjavik harbor.

This is by far some of the more challenging photography I have dealt with. Having faster glass with faster auto focus would have made this a lot easier. The whales are not very frequently visible.

I also too a screen capture of our route from the boat ride as captured by Garmin.
This video shows what it was like on our small boat. As can be seen the boat was rocking a lot which made focusing on any particular object particularly difficult. On a larger and more stable boat the photography would likely have been much easier.
