Kyoto - Fushimi Inari Taisha

We went to the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine. The primary shrine at the base of the mountain is  Fushimi Inari Taisha. There are shrines up and down the mountain along with many many torii (Japanese gates). Holly and I would recommend arriving early before the large crowds.

This was likely the most dense section of torii. Some have more faded paint than others.

There are side paths with additional shrines.

Holly and I were discussing how with all the torii and trees it would be very difficult to take a picture with poor framing. I tried my best.

Down one of the side paths we found a rather friendly cat who was also good for photographing.

This worker was painting the letter carvings with black paint.

This worker was working on newly finished base supports for the torii.

More animal warning signs.
