We arrived at Chicago Union Station in Chicago, IL. I took a few photos there.
We used the layover in Chicago to go out for deep dish pizza and meet up with my friend, my sister, and sister's significant other. I love Chicago style deep dish pizza.

Amtrak 90229 is an old Amtrak F40PH converted to cabbage duty. In this case it is a F40PH that had the engine and so on removed but maintains the control cab. The interior is used for baggage and the control cab allows for trains to operate in both directions without needing to move the locomotive around.
