Washington, D.C. - Union Station

We took an overnight Northeast Regional train from Boston, MA to Washington DC. We had a bedroom and used it as a mobile hotel.

This part of the station looked particularly old and unloved.

I always find it interesting at Washington, D.C.'s Union Station that the Acela trains arrive at a higher track level than the Northeast Regional even though they come in on the same tracks.

This section also looks old. I believe they are working on it to change how seating and the waiting area will be done.

This part is always neat. I love the difference in lighting and the stairs and different vertical spaces (food below, ticketing and some shops middle, food and shops on top).
